Kanturk Arts Festival is delighted to announce the winners of its inaugural Short Story Competition. Meet our judge for the Poetry Slam Marie O’Halloran. Marie lives in Co. Cork. She writes novels, poetry, short stories and plays. Two of her poems were commended in 2013 Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Competition. Runner-up was achieved by another poem of Marie’s in 2013 ’Caring for Carer’s Ireland’ poetry
The annual poetry slam kindly sponsored by Kanturk Bookshop will be held once again in Kanturk Courthouse @ 7:30pm on 20th March. Recite or read a favourite piece of poetry ( your own or someone else’s) and advocate it before our Judge, This year two €50 prizes will be awarded.
