Flash Fiction Winning Entries 2017

Geraldine McCarthy lives in west Cork and has been writing flash fiction and short stories for a year and a half. Her work has appeared in The Fable Online, Seven Deadly Sins: YA Anthology (Gluttony), The Incubator Journal and Scarlet Leaf Review.

Sinead Slattery’s Biography:
Born in Co. Down and grew up in Belfast. Trained as a Primary School teacher. I moved to Dublin and on to Cork when I got married. I am now retired and live with my husband in Glanmire, Co. Cork. We have four adult sons. I was runner-up in the Michael McLaverty short story competition in November 2016 and have been longlisted twice in the RTE/Penguin competition. I was longlisted last year for the Colm Toibin short story award and shortlisted for the James Plunkett Memorial award.
