Kevin Doyle is from Cork. A former industrial chemist, he has been short listed for many short story prizes, winning the Michael McLaverty Award in 2016. He is the author of two crime thrillers set in Cork – To Keep A Bird Singing (2018) and A River Of Bodies (2019) – both published by Blackstaff Press. David Park described To Keep A Bird Singing ‘as a thrilling debut that looks corruption in the eye and never blinks’. He is currently working on the third and final book in the Solidarity Books series. Kevin is an experienced creative writing teacher and has facilitated writing programmes at all levels.
