Our identity

 Kanturk Arts Festival is an annual event which began in 2009. The Festival aims to celebrate and promote the arts in the region and to provide a platform and focal point for the arts locally.

You can become a “Friend of the Festival” (Patrons) by paying an annual fee.

KAF operates as a Data Controller, determining the purposes and means of processing the personal data we hold, and can be contacted by email kanturkarts@gmail.com

The Festival gathers and processes personal data on the basis of consent. Your information is used only to send you the information about Kanturk Arts Festival which you have agreed to receive, to complete transactions in the manner consented to by you Consent for this may be withdrawn at any time.

Personal data is collected on our website in the following ways: Names and email addresses are collected via the “Friends of the Festival” form when users input these details in order to receive announcements, updates and special offers regarding KAF activities.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

Personal data is held and processed until such time as you communicate to us in writing that you wish for them to be removed.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
